Poor Japanese

The Age article (Japanese fooled in poodle scam, 26/4) had me convulsed in laughter. But why is this so remarkable? The Japanese are still flogging a scam of their own — exploding harpoons into 935 whales in Antarctica, claiming it is "scientific research".
Please don't alert them yet. I want to do business with these guys. I am about to paint an original Picasso in my garage: for sale at 6.5 billion yen. A real snip. Then I'm going to write Bach's undiscovered symphony no 27.3 in E flat major — on my ukulele.
That should bring in another billion or two. Poor Japanese. They know the cost of everything but the value of nothing.
